Big Bend is located in Far West Texas. It consists of mountain ranges and a dry desert environment. The park
is a hiker's paradise due to its 150 miles of desert and mountain trail. There are four campgrounds in the Big
Bend Park. The National Park Service operates three developed campgrounds that provides drinking water
and restroom facilities. And, a full RV hookup camping area is also available.

The Chisos Basin campground is located in the center of the park in the Chisos Mountains.
This campground is open year-around. Smaller RV's and trailors are accepted in this area. Charcoal fires in
above-ground grill is allowed along with liquid-fuel stoves.
