Yosemite Nationl Park is a scenic mountain region in east-central California. It is located about 140 miles east of San Francisco and 100 miles southeast of Sacramento. Yosemite is the home of the giant sequoia trees. Yosemite has hundreds of miles of trails and many mountains that attract climbers annually. There are 13 campgrounds within the Yosemite National Park to allow plenty of opportunity for hiking, biking, rafting, and fishing. Yosemite Valley is abundant with California black oak, Ponderosa pine, White fir, and Whiteleaf Manzanita trees. To get to Yosemite National Park take Highway 41 north from Fresno, Highway 140 east from Merced, or Highway 120 east from Manteca.

The North Pines campground is located along the Merced River. This campground is within walking distance of many services. There is a free shuttle service available if needed. There are food and grocery services nearby at Curry Village and Yosemite Village. The Lower Pines campground is located along the Merced River in Yosemite Valley. The Wawona campground is located along the South Fork Merced River close to Wawona. The campground is near the southern end of the park. The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is just a short drive away along with a visitor center, hotel, and a market. The Bridalveil Creek campground is located along the Glacier Point Road ner Bridalveil Creek. The campground is located about 7 miles west of Glacier Point. There are beautiful sites to be seen from nearby Glacier Point with severial hiking trails available. There are no services in the area. The Tuolumne Meadows campground is Yosemite's largest campground and is located along Tioga Road. This campground is open seasonally. It has access to hiking and water sports. There are services nearby such as a store, grill, and a post office at nerby Tuolumne Meadow.
