Zion National Park is located in sothwestern Utah near Springdale. The park consists of four natural zones, desert, riparian, woodland, and conifer forest. There are several hiking trails to enjoy which travel through numerous canyons, including Zion Canyon, Kolob Canyon, Orderville Canyon, and Parunuweap Canyon. The park features three main outdoor campgrounds, and for those who prefer the more modern amenities, the Zion Lodge. The nearby town of Springdale offers many added amenities such as shopping, art galleries, shower facilities, restaruants, equipment rental businesses, gas stations, markets, bike rentals, a library, and a health clinic.

The Watchman Campground is located next to the Zion Canyon Center. Its is a quarter mile from the South Entrance in Springdale, Utah. There is a shuttle service available for your convenience in this area. The South Campground is located near the park's south entrance. The campground is a short walk from the visitor center and the town of Springdale. The Lava Point Campground is located off the Kolob Terrace Road, which is 25 miles north of the town of Virgin.
